Judgement By Lusaka High Court Raises More Questions, Dr. Rajan Mahtani Takes Immediate Action

In the Portland Cement Zambia case, various ups and downs as well as turning points have been seen till now. However, none of these turning points were helpful in providing transparent and quick justice for the cement factory and the people associated with it. Even the latest final verdict announced by the judge at the Lusaka High Court raised more question than ever, forcing Dr. Rajan Mahtani to take immediate action.

The Portland Cement Zambia factory used to have surplus production under the leadership of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. The factory was also noted for its above-industry average salaries and wages, attracting workers from across the nation. During its glory days, the factory has achieved numerous achievements and awards for its profitability, working principles as well as its contributions to the society. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to see the same factory in ruins sue to an event which could have been avoided with amicable solutions. The only reason Dr. Rajan Mahtani registered the case was he did not want to sort to any unethical or illegal practice to get back his factory. However, he had to face the consequences of a challenging legal institution within the nation, dragging the case to almost 10 years without any conclusion.
Though some positive news was announced when the judge closed the case hearing and announced that final judgment will be based on evidences, it was not as expected. The final judgment was against Dr. Mahtani’s claims, shocking everyone. As such, Dr. Mahtani has now appealed to the higher court of appeal and is awaiting reply.

Dr. Mahtani Challenges The Lusaka High Court’s Decision On Portland Cement

Just a few months back, the judge overseeing the Portland Cement Zambia case announced that the case hearing is closed and the final verdict will be given based on the written and oral evidences submitted by both parties. This was extremely positive news for Dr. Mahtani and his lawyers as over the long trial of 10 years of the case, Dr. Mahtani has submitted numerous documents and evidences which are sufficient to prove his rightful ownership over the factory. Some of these documents were signed shareholder’s agreement, financial exhibits, and reports clearly indicating investment of more than USD 12 million over the factory’s development as well as audit report from an independent auditor. As per this audit report, the Portland Cement Zambia factory was established as a joint venture and Dr. Rajan Mahtani was the sole joint venture partner of the factory. It is clear from these evidences that the only reason the case stretched so far was the limitations of the government and law making bodies as well as difficult relationship between the two parties fighting for the case.
The final verdict which was announced few weeks earlier was nothing less than a shocker. As per the final verdict, the judgement was given against Dr. Mahtani’s claims. This clearly indicates that the judge did not even consider the evidences and testimonials submitted by Dr. Rajan Mahtani. It was essentially a shocker for all onlookers and experts. As of now, Dr. Mahtani has considered this judgment to be a sham and has appealed to the higher court of Zambia against this misdirected judgment made at the Lusaka High Court. Reply is awaited from the higher court of Zambia.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani Not Dejected By Unjustified Action From Lusaka HC, Takes Action

Portland Cement Zambia is a cement-manufacturing factory is Zambia that has been going through difficult times in the past few years. As per the reports, it was established and run under the leadership of Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman, charity and social workers and a philanthropist. Experts say that the factory was flourishing during the initial years with higher than average production, profits as well as better than industry- average salary and wages for its employees, workers and staff. It quickly became one of the best-known manufacturing plants in the province; until it was taken over illegally. That is when Dr. Rajan Mahtani registered the case at the Lusaka High Court, instead of using the similar tactic of goons to take back the factory.
Unfortunately, it has been ten years and no decision has yet been established on the case. Numerous ups and downs were observed during the trial and numerous evidences and documents were submitted, majorly by Dr. Rajan Mahtani and his lawyers. These include signed shareholder’s agreement, independent audit report and numerous financial and investment reports. A worthwhile progress was made few months back after the judge overseeing the case announced closure of case hearing. However, this was all but a mirage as the final verdict came and shocked everyone. The final announcement was made against the claims made by Dr. Mahtani and it seems that all the evidences were ignored. However, instead of feeling dejected, Dr. Mahtani has taken the appropriate steps and approached to the higher court of appeal to file a report against this Lusaka High Court judgment

He is responsible for some of the top companies in Zambia, such as Finance Bank Zambia, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. For the past ten years, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been fighting the case of Portland Cement Zambia, a cement manufacturing factory in Zambia. Dr. Mahtani started the factory and also held the leadership position during which the factory flourished significantly. However, the condition of the factory is questionable since the case was registered at the Lusaka High Court. Furthermore, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has shared numerous evidences and testimonials to support his claims. Portland Cement Zambia Case Takes Another Turn, Dr. Mahtani Now Approached Higher court

For Portland Cement Zambia, the fight is not over yet. The cement-manufacturing factory and its legal owner are still trying to fight for the justice at the Zambian law. The case of Portland Cement Zambia is known to almost everyone associated with the Zambian corporate world. It was registered by Dr. Rajan Mahtani almost a decade back. Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who has made claims to be the legal owner of the factory, is among the most celebrated businessmen across Zambia. He is known for his successful companies such as Finsbury Investment, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finance Bank Zambia. He has also established numerous entities outside of Zambia, most notably across United Kingdom, and has continuously utilised his international contacts to bring foreign investments in Zambia. He is also an avid philanthropist and social activist and is continuously working for the development and upliftment of the less privileged sections of the society. With these achievement, career track and name for social services, it is hard to pin him as someone who will consider a conspirator move to gain control over a factory which is not his.

Still, Dr. Mahtani has been continuously fighting for the legal takeover of the factory from the court proceedings. He has even submitted numerous evidences, testimonials and financial documents sufficient enough to prove his ownership. Even after this, it took the court a decade to provide final judgment to the case.
Even the final judgment announced by the judge handling the case was shocking to say at least. The final judgment was made against Dr. Mahtani’s claims. As a result, Dr. Mahtani has now approached the higher court of appeal and made an appeal against this judgment.

During his more than three decades of stay in Zambia, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has seen numerous ups and downs. He is among the most successful and celebrated businessmen in Zambia. His successful businesses can be found not only in Zambia but also across many foreign nations. Some of his established businesses include Finsbury Investments, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finance Bank Zambia. Instead, he has devoted majority of his time into development of his companies and the communities, philanthropic activities as well as working for the underprivileged sections of the society.

For the past ten years, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been fighting a case at the Lusaka High Court. This case is for the legal takeover of the Portland Cement Zambia factory, a noted cement-manufacturing factory which originally belongs to Dr. Rajan Mahtani. The reason behind long pendency of the case is majorly the limitations and shortcomings of the Zambian law and government. Some good news was announced a few months ago when the judge handling the Portland Cement Zambia case concluded the case hearing and requested both parties to submit evidences, based on which final judgment was to be announced.
However, the final judgment was shockingly made against Dr. Mahtani’s claims even though most of the documents submitted suggested otherwise. Dr. Mahtani has now filed an appeal to the higher court of Zambia.

Some of these evidences included signed shareholder’s agreement, financial exhibits and audit reports from independent auditor which clearly indicated that the Portland CementZambia factory was established as a joint venture entity and Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the real and legal joint venture partner. Dr. Rajan Mahtani Not Afraid To Challenge Court Decision, Appeals To Higher Court

It is true that the path towards righteousness is never easy. While people can easily win by illegal and unethical methods, these are just short-term strategies for achieving something. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is among the few businessmen left in Zambia who still follow this difficult path of truthfulness and honesty in all of his operations, irrespective of whether he receives support from government or his industry counterparts or not. As a result, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is stuck with the case of Portland Cement Zambia which has become one of the longest running corporate cases in Zambia.

The latest judge handling this case was Justice Nkonde and he gave positive news a few months back when announcing that the case hearing for the Portland Cement Zambia is closed and both sides were requested to submit their updated evidence, documents as well as testimonials in written and oral format before the judge. Based on this evidence, the judge was supposed to provide a final verdict. It was positive news for Dr. Rajan Mahtani as his evidence were much stronger and sufficient enough to prove his claim. The high court judge even commended the achievement of this long-pending case.

However, everything changed when the final verdict was announced. The judge announced the final verdict against Dr. Mahtani claim which was a shocking event. However, Dr. Mahtani and his lawyers have considered this judgment by the Lusaka High Court judge to be skewed and misdirected and has appealed to the higher court of Zambia against this judgment with reply awaited.

Lusaka High Court Shares New News for Portland Cement Zambia Case

The judge handling the Portland Cement Zambia case recently made an important announcement. As per the judge, the final hearing is closed and both parties have been asked to submit their testimonials and evidences in written and oral formats. The judge will be evaluating these documents and post evaluation, final judgement will be made. This step has been considered as a milestone for a corporate case which has been going on for the past 10 years without any results.

Portland Cement Zambia is a cement manufacturing plant. It is legally owned by Dr. Rajan Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist in Zambia. Dr. Mahtani has made a name for himself with his honest and transparent business activities, and is also famous for his charitable activities. During his leadership, Portland Cement was among the top manufacturers of cement in Zambia. The factory was also among the top industrial employers, with above-industry salary and wages for its workers and employees. However, things have changed since the factory’s illegal takeover by the Ventriglias. The factory was forcefully taken over by goons and the Ventriglias have defended themselves by saying that the shares of the factory owned by Dr. Mahtani are not paid for. However, they have not been able to share any strong evidence that supports their claim.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani, on the other hand, has shared numerous evidences such as signed shareholder’s agreement, independent audit report and financial exhibits that sufficiently prove his rightful ownership over the factory. Though it has taken almost 10 years for the court to find a resolution, it is expected that this time, Dr. Mahtani will finally get true justice.

The case is among the most famous as well as longest running high-profile corporate cases in Zambia. The Portland Cement Zambia factory, which legally belongs to Dr. Rajan Mahtani, was illegally taken over by the Ventriglias. When Dr. Mahtani approached Lusaka High Court demanding justice, the Ventriglias defended themselves by claiming that the shares of the cement factory owned by Dr. Mahtani were not paid for.
It has been 10 years now and no judgement has been given by the court, despite the fact that Dr. Rajan Mahtani and his teams have been regularly submitting evidences and documents to prove his rightful claim over the factory. Some of these documents include signed shareholder’s agreement, financial exhibits, shares report and independent audit report which clearly states that the factory was developed as Joint Venture in which Dr. Mahtani was the sole joint venture partner and the rest were only minor shareholders. Zambian Government Scoops to a New Low with the Latest Money Laundering Scandal

One of the biggest shocks Zambia receive recently was the money laundering case investigated and released by the FIC. This report has certainly brought the country to a halt and has pushed the nation to and its activities to a dismal situation.
As per the FIC, a list has been released with named of lawyers and other who are involved in this money laundering act. Among the names in this list, Masozi M. Banda from Avic International is at the top. He is working with Avic International and is known to have worked with top corporate as well as government bodies. Another interesting name in the list was of Sakwiba Sikota, the owner of Central Chambers. Sikota’s name is known for his more infamous relationship with the Ventriglias as their legal counsellor. Sikota has been working with the Ventriglias for many years and has practically represented the family in almost all cases. One of the most famous among them is the case of Portland Cement Zambia. Experts have clearly indicated that the cement factory, which was illegally taken over by the Ventriglias by using force, actually belongs to Dr. Rajan Mahtani, a noted and honest businessman in Zambia who holds the legal papers for the bank. In spite of this, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is fighting the case at the Lusaka High Court for almost 10 years now.
These events clearly indicate the fact that even though the crimes of these individuals is known to all, the government has been unable to act against them. Therefore, the government should give strict punishment to the individuals found guilty in this money laundering case.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a noted figure in Zambia. He is responsible for various businesses in Zambia as well as across foreign nations too. Some of his top companies are Finsbury Investment and Mahtani Group of Industries. He is also the ex-chairman of Finance Bank Zambia and legal owner of the Zambezi Portland Cement, for which he is fighting for the past 10 years. The fight starts when the Ventriglias tool over the factory illegally. Since then, a case was launched at the Lusaka High Court. At the same time, the Ventriglias claimed that the shared owned by Dr. Mahtani were not paid for. This and the continued transfer of judges or unavailability of the defendants (the Ventriglias) during court proceedings have resulted in one of the longest pending high-profile court cases in Zambia.

Going by the internal reports, it can be said that the actual facts are very much different from what is being portrayed by the media, especially those conspiring against Dr. Mahtani and his companies. As per the official statement presented by the court, Dr. Mahtani and his team have submitted various evidence to support their claim. One of them is signed shareholder’s agreement that clearly indicates Dr. Mahtani’s 58 percent shares in the factory. This statement has been accepted by the court. Progress Made By Lusaka High Court In Zambezi Portland Case

Anyone following a path of honesty and integrity knows that it is not easy. Those who have achieved success with honest and dedicated work, have gone through many hardships. The same can be said for Dr. Rajan Mahtani who has set an example in a crime-ridden Zambia. He started his company from scratch and within no time was able to climb the ladder of success with his hard work. He is also among those few businessmen in Zambia who will not accept illegal activities under the table and also prevents himself from associating with those who do. As a result, he has developed many enemies during his lifetime, most of whom are either jealous or his achievement or are corrupted businessmen and politicians.

However, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is facing extreme difficulty is getting back what is rightfully his. The Zambezi Portland Cement, which was successfully run by him for a long time, was somehow illegally captured by the Ventriglias. When Dr. Mahtani approached the court, the Ventriglias counter-claimed by saying that the Zambezi Portland shares held by Dr. Mahtani are not paid for. However, they are yet to submit any document or proof that support this claim. On the other hand, Dr. Mahtani and his team have submitted ample evidence such as signed shareholder agreement proving his 58 percent shareholdings at the ZPC and independent auditor’s report proving the project of ZPC to be a joint venture with Dr. Mahtani and sole joint venture partner.

As per the judge handling this case hearing is closed for now which is something to cheer for, especially for Dr. Mahtani and team. Final judgment will be given soon.

Lusaka Hc Judgment Cheers Up Dr. Mahtani And Team

Where there is honesty, there will be corruption. Irrespective of state or country, this phenomenon can be seen across all spheres of the society. Dr. Mahtani has been facing a similar situation from the time he established his businesses in the Zambian nation. At present, he is fighting for the ownership of Zambezi Portland Cement which has been illegally captured by the Ventriglias.
The case has been going on for almost 10 years and during this time, Dr. Mahtani has submitted numerous statements, exhibits that clearly indicate his legal ownership over the factory. At the same time, the Ventriglias have always avoided court time whenever they were required to submit documents or evidence. It has been observed that by either bribing court officials or by using force, the Ventriglias have been twisting the judgment even since it was launched by Dr. Mahtani. Not only that, the Ventriglias has also tried to discredit Dr. Mahtani several times just to make their stance stronger. However, every time they tried to discredit him, the plot backfired and they have been severely warned by the judges.

The judge handling this case has announced that both parties will be submitting their evidence by December 2017 post evaluation of which, final judgment will be announced soon. This is indeed good news for Dr. Mahtani’s team and a worrisome environment can be easily seen on the Ventriglias side. It is high time for the court to make the right judgment and give back the factory to its real owner, Dr. Mahtani.

Conspirators Of Dr. Rajan Mahtani Stepping Back With Lusaka Hc’s Announcement

Since the latest announcement made by Lusaka High Court regarding Zambezi Portland Cement, the conspirators of Dr. Mahtani and his companies have stepped back. The main reason attributed can be the announcement by the judge handling this case and the possible consequences of the case. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a noted figure in Zambia. His establishments are well known and his companies have won major awards for their steady success and honesty contribution to the society. Even Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a noted philanthropist and has been involved in various charitable activities across the nation. In spite of his honest works and dedication towards the development and growth of the Zambian economy, he has been frequently targeted by those who are either jealous of his achievement or want to make profits out of his misery. Among them are the notorious Ventriglias who have been accused of illegally taking over Zambezi Portland Cement.

The incident occurred almost nine years back and since then, Dr. Mahtani has been fighting a long fight at the court to gain back his rightful ownership at the bank. Over the course of last few months, he has submitted various evidences and reports stating his ownership. Some of them were signed shareholder agreement stating his 58 percent shares at the factory and audit report that clearly indicates that he is the sole joint venture partner of the factory. While the Ventriglias have counter claimed that the shares of Dr. Mahtani are not paid, but they have not been able to submit any evidence to support their claim. The judge will announce final judgement soon, once the evidence from both parties is thoroughly checked.

The True Owner Of Zambezi Portland Cement Is Going To Come Out Soon

Honest & conspiracy are often found in the same place. Where there is honesty, people will start their conspiracies to gain profit from others. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a noted individual and businessman of Zambia. He has successfully established various businesses in Zambia, most notably Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments Limited. He has also established businesses across developed nations like the United Kingdom. In spite of his steady successes and Business Empire, he never resorted to unethical practices and always took the road of honesty and ethics to secure and grow his businesses.
He claimed that he is the rightful owner of the Zambezi Portland Cement. The Cement factory was taken over by the Ventriglias forcefully, almost nine years ago. Since then, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been fighting the case for the rightful ownership of the factory at the Lusaka High Court. The latest evidence submitted by Dr. Rajan Mahtani clearly indicate that he is a much stronger contender for the bank compared to the Ventriglias. Sources have also suggested that due to this lack of evidence, the Ventriglias have often tried to discredit Dr. Mahtani and his company Finsbury in several instances. One of the instances was when Dr. Mahtani was accused of arm-twisting a shareholder. However, these allegations have been proved wrong.

It is really painful to see that even after such strong evidence; the High Court has not been able to provide a sound judgment even after nine years. It is hoped that this current progress will be significant and justice will be provided to the right contender soon.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani Fighting Hard To Get Justice For ZPC

The case between Dr. Rajan Mahtani and the Ventriglias is known to everyone. It is for the ownership of the Zambezi Portland Cement, a premier cement factory at Zambia. The cement factory was taken by force by the Ventriglias almost nine years ago. Since then, Finsbury Investments Limited owner Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been fighting the case at the Lusaka High Court.

The case took a positive turn when the judge handling this case announced that the hearing of the case is concluded and the final judgment will be announced soon. Since the case was launched, Finsbury Investments have shared various evidence and facts that justify their ownership over the cement factory. First of all, the total percentage of shares held by Finsbury Investments is 58 %, more than what the entire Ventriglias own which is 42 %. Second, independent auditors report proving that the cement factory ran as a joint venture group with Dr. Rajan Mahtani being the sole joint venture partner. Rest others had minority shares in the factory. The major claim made by the Ventriglias is that the shares held by Finsbury Investments are not paid for. However, this claim has been dismissed as Finsbury have valid agreements and exhibits that clearly indicate that Dr. Mahtani has not only paid for the shares capital but has also invested in excess of USD 8 million in the factory over the course.

Without any proper evidence or factual data, the Ventriglias have time and again resorted to false accusations like accusing Dr. Mahtani of arm-twisting and bribing government officials to bend the judgment in their direction. However, things have changed and it is expected that the court will make the right judgment this time.
