After Final Judgment By Lusaka HC Judge, Dr. Rajan Mahtani Requests Higher Court Of Zambia

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a noted businessman, philanthropist and charity worker in Zambia. With more than three decades of experience, he is among the most popular, noted as well as knowledgeable businessman and industrialists in Zambia. He is responsible for some of the top companies in Zambia, such as Finance Bank Zambia, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. All these companies are also noted for their works for the less privileged sections of the society. Furthermore, he has numerous philanthropic and charitable activities under his name. Despite these achievements and influence, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has never tried to use his power of popularity for business gains or personal profits.

For the past ten years, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been fighting the case of Portland Cement Zambia, a cement manufacturing factory in Zambia. Dr. Mahtani started the factory and also held the leadership position during which the factory flourished significantly. However, the condition of the factory is questionable since the case was registered at the Lusaka High Court. Furthermore, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has shared numerous evidences and testimonials to support his claims. Some of these evidences included signed shareholder’s agreement, testimonials from several important members associated with the factory, financial exhibits as well as audit report conducted by an independent auditor. All these evidences were sufficient enough to prove that Dr. Mahtani is the real owner of the factory.

However, the entire team and onlookers were shocked when the final judgment was given against Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s claim. Dr. Mahtani has now launched another appeal to the higher court of Zambia against this decision made at the Lusaka High Court.
